It was an illuminating afternoon at Southwark Cathedral earlier this month.

Over 130 lighting designers, architects and contractors attended the joint event hosted by the Institute of Lighting Professionals (ILP) London and acdc with sister brand Thorn.

Beginning at 2.30pm, guests heard a series of CPD sessions lead by leading industry professionals. The topics covered were: 'Telensa - from buzz word to deployment', 'Designs for lighting - lighting to protect the environment', 'LoRaWAN - is it truly open protocol' and 'Outdoor architectural lighting'.

Following these CPDs, attendees were given an introduction to the Light(s) on Tour outdoor roadshow cubes with groups exploring the road, urban, sport and architectural lighting areas and the products on display.

After food and drinks, a it went dark outside, everyone moved outdoors to experience the facade illumination installed temporarily by acdc.
